Shocked. I still cant believe it though i cant change anything. I didnt expect it to be this way. Feel as if it was only yesterday we had talks on ur plans and ur hopes. I didnt realize u were bidding farewell and goodbye to me. We were bestfriends and we will always be no matter where you will be. Only god knows how much i miss you and how much i love you. I know god loves you more and he has better plans for you. I know you are at a better place than us. And i know u can hear what we all say here. I really miss u and only god knows how. Thanks for being a friend, a friend who would always be there for me through ups and downs. Someday we'll meet again brother, for sure. I don't know when but everyone will be heading to the same place where you are now.

I have been in Sunway University College for about a month. And hell yeah, Im enjoing myself here. For the past on month,i made new friends and new poeple.

During my first week, I didnt really learn anything yet. Most of the classes were occupied with knowing-each-other sessions except for economics class. In the 3rd week, we were asked to do a presentation on ourselves in our econs class. So i made one. I put some pictures of myself from the past(high school days).

After the presentation, my lecturer asked me to run for the president sit.And i was like "What sit again?"

I almost forgot that the election for the Ausmat student counsil will take place soon.

At the end of the class she asked my full name and so on. I was unsure why she asked my name. ( Students and lecturers are allowed to nominate their friends and students). This morning, i was having maths class with Mr. Eric. He came to my desk and asked my name.

Here's the conversation:

Mr Eric: What's your name?
Me : Aiman Haziq
Mr Eric: Oh, so you are the one!
Me : The what?
Mr Eric: The teachers are talking about you!
Me : Is it a good thing?
Mr Eric: It is! They are talking good things about you!

Ok. That explains a lot. One of my lecturer was convincing me to go for it.

I think ill think about it. Seriously it will a big responsibility.

The beginner’s guide to becoming a doctor.

For a kid or a young student, how can he fulfill his ambition to becoming a medical doctor one day? What are the essential academic competency, qualification, knowledge and skills required?

First and foremost, one significant thing that one needs to realize is that the path to becoming a qualified doctor takes longer time than most of other fields.

A medical degree from the United Kingdom usually takes between 4 to 5 years to finish (and longer if you have to repeat some subjects or academic year), and a pre-university or A-Levels enrolment before that may take up to 2 years. So, discounting high school, you will be spending more or less 6 or 7 good years here.

Medical field requires students with good grades and results in science related subjects, particularly Biology.

Unlike many other courses that usually pay more emphasis on theories (and practical in employment world), your real ‘employment’ actually starts during your studies where you will be attending real health cases, and if you get lucky, you can do your first post-mortem on corpses during this time. Towards your final year, soliciting information, clerking the patients and presenting real cases to the lecturers become your routine and it is particularly important to note that good communication, interaction and interpersonal skills are key elements in your job. While this can sound stressful, wait for what to come.

Upon graduation, you will be placed in assigned hospitals for a housemanship (a training regime before you can be ‘upgraded’ to a certified medical officer or doctor) that lasts between 1 to 2 years. During this time, you will undergo a series of job rotation in different departments and handle different cases.

In countries like Malaysia, this can be the most gruesome period of your life. During housemanship, you will be wishing you have more time to rest and sleep. In the United Kingdom or Ireland, a housemanship officer will have his job confined to desk job (clerking the patients) and less on technical related jobs. It is probably true when they say that doctors who completed their housemanship in Malaysia are more competent that those from the UK and Ireland. And that is the most probable course that a doctor officer who finishes housemanship in the UK or Ireland will have to undergo another round of housemanship training back in Malaysia.

Once you become a certified doctor, you are able to start your own medical practice if you wish (depending on which country you are, the regulations might differ. Check with the local authority). You also have the option to pursue your studies in your choice of specializations such as pediatrics, pathology, oncology, psychiatry, E&T (ear, nose and throat) and many others. Granted, the higher your academic attainment in the medical field, the higher the salary you can command.

Medical doctor is a noble profession. Doctors attend to sick patient. They listen to people’s health complaints. They advise and consult people. Some spend hours in the surgery room removing a thing or two from patient’s body, while some others take care of other wide range of medical specializations.

Apart from having a good career, medical doctor is perceived as a profession that rewards highly. As the recent research in America indicates, 9 out of 10 top highest paid jobs in the US are related to medical field. They are also unlikely to become victims of unemployment as the world needs them dearly.

But being a doctor is not just about earning high income or salary. Just like any other profession, it takes passion, determination and perseverance before you can eventually become a doctor. When you do, be a good one.

Another Surprise

I stepped inside my room when i reached home yesterday's evening. I was so tired after 3 hours of journey from Kuala Kangsar back to my hometown Kuala Lumpur. I couldnt sleep the whole journey.

When i went into my room, i saw a box tied with ribbons on my bed. At first, I thought it belongs to my younger brother Hazim. So i left it there. My heart was unsure. Thus, I checked back and i saw a written code. From there i knew that box was meant for me. It says there, untie the box. I didnt think much and i untied the box. Inside the box there were an Armani Exchange t-shirt and a piece of card written 'There is one more surprise.' I was so blurred and i thought the next surprise will be tomorrow or the other day. Not on the same day obviously. But i was wrong.

Suddenly,

"Surprise surprise! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to Haziq! Happy Birthday to You!I love you!"

I was so surprise and touched. Thank you sayang for the surprise!

I was at the library yesterday with my classmates. Cikgu Azfa brought us there. So, I decided to read a biography on Tun Abdul Razak. Suddenly one of my classmate called my name.

Bear: Haziq, what's the time now?

Haziq: It's 1 o' clock now. What's up?

Bear: Happy birthday bro! (He shook my hand.) Now, go back to class and and open up your locker. You will find something there.

I was wondering what can it be? So I went back to class and i found a black box. I opened up the box and there were balloons and a few stuff. There was an envelope that came along. I opened the envelope and it says there:

"Sayang, Happy Birthday! Surprise Surprise! "

I was so touched and i smiled the whole day.

Today, Monday as usual Mckk boys had a formal assembly in Hargreaves hall.

"Tak payah la para pelajar nak berpolitik di sini. Salahkan guru sana, salahkan guru sini. Kami dibayar untuk mentadbir. Let us the managers, manage the school. U guys just focus on your studies. Kalau nak persoalkan sangat, cikgu-cikgu tunjuk sikit kat pelajar-pelajar straight A's ni. Yang tak dapat straight A's, dah lah tak dapat result bagus, lepas tu nak persoalkan cikgu-cikgu pula. Usahlah berpolitik di sini."

"Berkaitan duit kluster, ada satu badan yang ditetapkan. Bukan kami suka-suka hati buat."

Well sir, Im not trying to be rude or being a rebellion as what some of us are being labelled. What actually happened that day actually, we were discussing on certain matters to improve the environment in college. Never ever across our mind to against the admin.

Regarding with the cluster budget, we didnt even mention it. One of my colleague was asking some fund from the PTA for certain sports. I dont think college has enough budget.

The Malay College Kuala Kangsar - Royal Vajiravudh College of Thailand 48th annual traditional rugby match has been canceled today. This is because a student from Vajiravudh College is confirmed to be having swine flu. 8 of Malay College students have been quarantined as an early precaution.

The match which was supposed to be held this evening, 4th of July has been postponed. The game will might be played in August.

Situation:

A student who recently was awarded with the prestigious leadership award, was called up by the Parents Teachers Association for a meeting. Since he was the president of the student, the whole exco members had to attend the meeting too. The meeting was attended by 3 representatives from the PTA, some prefects (the others have heavy asses to come) and the student union exco members. In the meeting, the representatives from PTA asked the students if there's any problem or issues that need to be raised to the PTA. And yes, they voiced out there their points and opinions regarding a few matters. They were concerned about their people. Basically, that what leaders do isn't it?

The next day, one of the prefect who came to the meeting was called by the principal. He told everything to the principal. But the problem is, he told the wrong facts and as if everyone was trying to against the principal. What on earth was he thinking?

And the worst thing is, the president of Students Union was called to the principal's room regarding that matter. A teacher also told him this, " Lucky you this thing happen after the speech day. Or else say goodbye to your leadership award u got".

Is it a wrong to say the right thing? Think of it yourself..

Malay College Youth Development Summit will soon start. There is this issue that got into the nerves of every single Malay College Boys.

Ok here's the thing. On the 21st of Jun, participants from other countries will arrive. The early plan was, they will stay overnight at Sekolah Alam Shah (for boys) and Sekolah Seri Puteri (for girls) before their 5 hours trip to Kuala Kangsar on the 22nd morning. But then, SAS n SSP will be used for Wind Orchestra Competition. So, we had to switch to Sekolah Dato Abdul Razak and Tunku Kurshiah College. So we asked their favours. SDAR said they would like to help. While TKC said they will help with two conditions.

First, they ask to let the students participate. Well, honestly it's not a problem.

secondly, they want the closing ceremony to be held at their ground. I think it's totally ridiculous. Hello! It's MALAY COLLEGE Youth Development Summit not MCTKCYDS! No offence yeah to all my tkc friends. Im not hating your school but i hate the idea gave by your thinkiamsmart teacher.

It was a busy when i met this 4 old boys at their early 70's. I was walking to the atm machine and i met this old boy, Dato Jimin Idris. Long short story, he asked me a favour to give a brief on Malay College to Tengku Harun who is Tengku Bendahara Kedah's son. He was doing a short video clip for his dad's upcoming birthday. Later, Dato Faiz the deputy president of MCOBA wanted to bring me and head boy for lunch at Yut Loy. Luckily Mr Safuan gave us the permission.

After we reloaded our tank, Dato Faiz wanted to bring us to Salak for the next shooting session. It was really fun. Going out with a bunch off old guys( i shuldve called them atuk. haha). Dato Syed brought us to his place and had tea there. It was really a memory that i wont forget. Two young boys aged 17 going out and lepak-lepak with old grandpas who acted likes kids. Their jokes were really funny though.

woo..feels like ages since the last time i published my thoughts in this blog.

well, a lot of things got into my nerves during that period but why am i so blank right now? hurm..
let me recall..

The non-stop political war's happening in Perak really got everyone's attention. I attended this one meeting for Malay College Youth Development Summit 2009 with Dato Paduka Menteri Orang Besar Kaya Jajahan Larut Matang Selama for the homestay and community service programme. In the meeting we decided to invite Menteri Besar Perak to be the guest of honour. Well, i raised this question: "Who will we ask to come?". And they replied me back: "Menteri Besar Perak". Then i asked them back: "Zambry or Nizar?". They kept quiet and remained silent for some time.

After few days, they court announced that Nizar is the right person. But he only held that title for only a few hours. Then zambry was the right person. Will any changes occur later? A question mark there. I wonder when my question i raised back in the meeting will be answered.

Hopefully all of these political drama will end soon. The citizens are sicked and tired with all of these. All we need is a stable government which can rule the country with justice and the welfare of the people is taken care of.

Enough of political drama. Lets move on to the next thing. Lately, many things or events happened and held in koleq.From sports day to rugby interhouse to mckk-vi carnival then open day and lastly mid-term exam which really made everyone worried to the max. Well obviously everyone wanted to score for their exams in order to get a scholarship to pursue studies in the future. Well, Abg Hasnul told me something that made me wonder why.. He told me that those days if ure not good in your SPM it doesn't mean you wont get scholarships. Certain of his friends passed add maths for the first time in SPM and yet they got scholarships to study abroad. Well, it's different now. The challenge is tougher. It's true Abg Hasnul. Pity us we're under pressure and stress. Should we change our educational system? People ask yourself. Ill just let Tan Sr Muhyiddin Yassin to do his duty.

Alhamdulillah, Malay College Wind Orchestra Team managed to secure a place in the finals. This will be our third year to compete in the finals.

Other team that will be competing are:

We'll be missing speech day like we did for Malay College Old Boys Weekend. The OBW was celebrated in conjunction with Malay College Old Boys Association 80th anniversary. Damn!
I missed that big event.

Currently Im busy with this instrument. For the past 3 weeks ive been busy with band practice. Only god knows how busy i am. The competition will be held next week. Hopefully we'll go through the finals. Insya Allah.. Supports from everyone are so much needed.

The new cabinet was announced this week. Changes have been done. I hope the new cabinet occupied by the old and new faces will focus more on their duties and responsibilities rather than the politic dramas that will never end in our country. So dramatic. Good luck to Dato' Seri Najib as the new Prime Minister.

gosh, this year is like my final year being a high-school student or so called budak hingusan or budak sekolah or whatever they call it. Positive side of it, i wont be needing my school uniforms anymore and those strict school rules. Plus, no one will like gonna wake me up early in the morning with long rattans. That is like so cool. But before that i have like to pass this one big major exam called SPM.

Last two weeks, last year's students got their SPM results. Those who got a good one kudos to you. Im happy for you guys.

In the same time i started to feel the heat of SPM. Yesterday Iss told me bout the Bank Negara Scholarship he got which is so damn cool. I wish ill get one like that.

Out of sudden it came to my nerves to post this article. In recent speech given by Mr. Safwan, vice-principal of The Malay College. In his speech, he said that the PIPP (Pelan Induk Pembangunan Pendidikan) one of their mission is to produce a generation of first class mentality.

I wonder, will a first class mentality generation able to be produced if:

Students' creativity are being blocked in schools by teachers.
Everything in school is controlled by the teachers.
Students who try to speak up are labelled as protesters.

The Presidency

H. Ross Perot once said,
" that inventories can be managed, but people must be led."

Alhamdulillah, In the name of Allah the Almighty God, with his blessings, a new president of Malay College Student Union has been selected. The official announcement was made this morning by the Vice Principal of Student Affairs Mr Fairuz Bin Leman.

Here's the positions that have been filled in:

President:
Aiman Haziq Bin Zainuddin

Vice-President I:
Muhammad Aqwa Aliff Bin Jasmi

Vice-President II:
Amirul Ariff Bin Sazali

The 3 positions were given to us with the power of the Mr. Principal himself. He gave us the mandate to lead one of the highest organization in college. The appointment was a legal one as it is stated in the constitution of Malay College Student Union that the principal has the power to appoint any excos if the situation is out of control. As i was the only exco who won the last election ( i was the only f4 who won a seat last year. The other seats were filled by last year's f5 who had left the college), i am the most eligible to be the new president.

As the new president, i will try to improve things in college without interfering the school rules. I will try my utmost best to ensure the welfare of the people of the east and west will be taken care under me.

Insya Allah, the positions which are still empty will be filled soon. The election will take place on the 27th of Feb. Good Luck to those who will join the election!

A New Life Begins...

It's like I'm dreaming. As if I'm flying to Neverland with Peterpan. It's seems like yesterday i stepped into the gates. Seems like yesterday tears rolled down my face when they left me there. To gain experiences and to be independent. But the reality is, here i am.

I still remember those words that came out from my seniors' mouth. "Kau jaga koleq ni baik-baik. Bila kau jadi f5 pastikan semua benda gempak."I cant believe I'm a form five now. Man, time flies so fast. 4 years ive been taught the ups and downs of life.Final year comes. A year older, more responsibilities on my shoulders.

Kehidupan itu bermula,

Setelah sekian lama..

Setelah sekian lama tidak melontarkan idea-idea yang tersangkut di membrane-membrane otak, akhirnya tergerak juga hati untuk melakukannya. Alhamdulillah, syukur ke hadhrat yang maha esa. Kehidupan ini berjalan dengan aman, tenang serta penuh kebahagiaan.

Akhirnya, keadaan di Lapangan Terbang Suvarnabhumi Bangkok, Thailand sudah kembali pulih beroperasi seperti biasa setelah gerakan pembantah anti-kerajaan meninggalkan kawasan lapangan terbang. Pastinya, kerajaan Thailand mengalami kerugian yang besar. Sektor pelancongan serba sedikit terjejas. Kita sebagai rakyat Malaysia yang berbilang kaum seharusnya mengekalkan kedamaian yang sedia ada di negara kita. Usahlah ditimbulkan isu-isu perkauman yang mendatangkan keburukan kepada semua.

Penurunan harga minyak semalam memberi keuntungan kepada rakyat Malaysia terutamanya. Isu ekonomi dunia disifatkan sebagai tidak akan menjejaskan ekonomi negara. Alhamdulillah, ekonomi negara dapat dikawal dengan baik mudah-mudahannya.

Semoga negara aman-damai.

As the story unravels, the protagonist makes the audience face the daunting decisions he himself faces, and forces us to marvel at his undying loyalty to the true ideals of Islam as he ultimately makes the choice of a lifetime.

Ive just watched ayat-ayat cinta with dina at her place yesterday. Everyone was talking bout it. And yeah, everyone should watch it and see how pure the love is.

To make it short, move your lazy-asses to any dvd store and buy one :)

After watching AAC, we went to Gleneagles to visit Aunt Sofia. Get well soon aunty!

1st January 2008. That was the first day we met. We were celebrating new year's eve at Royale Bintang. That time i didnt really know her but now we are very close. She always cheer me up whenever i have problems and never let me down. I heart her ;)

This is Feqs. I started to know him when we were 2nd former. That time i entered the school orchestra team. Currently he is the president of the orchestra team. I used to call him hamtaro(only he knows why :D) He's my best buddy.

Everyone, this is Amer. He's the school photographer. Sangat into indie bands. I still remember when we had a fight when we were F2. Haha. That was an old story. We're bestfriends now. He is famous with his 'R'. :D

Saiful Sufri Bin Sabari

This is Epool. He is damn freaking genius. He scores straight As most of the time eventhough he sleeps during class. He was my deskmate when we were back in the 2nd form. Now he's in 4 science 1 and im in science 3. Amer told me he sleeps most of the time but yet he can obtained straight As. I wish i could be like him. Haha.

They are important people in my life. I cant live without them.

Hey peeps!

Alhamdulillah xm had just finished today(the others had finished last week). Yesterday had accounts n today sat for french paper. God, im so happy xm is over by now. Poor Dina, she has exam 2mrw and friday. All the best and good luck to u dear!

Well, ive got lots of work to do after this. Schedule will be packed with school programmes. Ouh! Yesterday the ruggers went to taiping for rugby clinic thingy under the penguins from uk. Damn, there was this english man aged 65. He sounded old but he could run like a young man. Ouh yeah, and there was this guy from Ireland said i spoke English very well n I sounded like an English. Haha. Im proud of myself. :D

Now im at the editorial board. Along with amer, feqs n uncle. We're watching meet the spartans. Will post the next blog soon. Chow~

25th of October 2001

A special day which was 7 years back. I was 9 years old and my brother Hazim was 6. I still remember that evening i was wearing yellow hse t-shirt. Waiting outside the O.T. It was the day when mama gave birth to inara. Only God knows how happy i was that time. Ayah was inside the O.T. He got the permission to enter the O.T coz he's a doctor. Around 4.30 dad came out from the O.T with a happy news. Daddy said, " it's a girl!". Then he showed us to our new sister. :)

25th of October 2008

7 years passed. Today we celebrated Inara's birthday at McDonalds.

Happy birthday dear sis! We love you! U are the best thing that happened to us.

I dunno what to say but, Siapa yg makan cili dia yang rasa pedas.

Wednesday: Modern Math

Hurm.. Chemistry was tough. History was brain-quenching.Modern Maths was tricky. Well, tiru-meniru incident happens everyday.

Today, seminar remaja kebangsaan meeting was held. My face is used for the programme's banner. Gosh, im a school model :D special thanks to safalipo

Tomorrow will be siting for add maths paper. Got to revise. Chow!

Well, today i woke up at 7.50 and inspection usually starts at 8am. Biasalah kan.. Budak koleq pkl 8 start pukul 8.30 baru siap. Is that what future leaders shud be? Hurm i wonder?? (cheh, aku pun sama je. Xpernah siap awal pun :D )

Then at 8.30 had breakfast. I was missing during inspection. Lucky this morning koleq organized a fitness check up done by the National Fitness Counsil(was it?) Btw, everyone did well. Shutter run i managed to pass the requirement for sukma athletes with flying colours :P But then rasa cam nak muntah. I had mihun goreng for breakfast (siap tambah lagi :D )

Then keluar town. But wont be that long since monday ada paper chemistry. Damn! What the hell did i learn the whole year? hurm...

4 subjects which i'd done successfully.. Did I?

Wednesday- Malay Language
Thursday- Biology
Friday- English

Physics n bio were like super duper hell tough but yet everyone inside the class was like asking answers from me. Sounds smart huh? haha.. I thought Rahmat who sits on my left is waaaayy smarter than me.

Rahmat was checking my biology objective question paper.

Haziq: Weiyh, jawapan aku banyak salah ke?
Rahmat: Mana aku tau?
Haziq: Banyak jawapan aku lain daripada kau x?
Rahmat: Aku tiru semua jawapan kau!

Haha. That explains everything.

Like what amer arif said it's half time now. Second half will be started on monday to friday. Wish me luck!
